How We're Different
We Show Our Work
Every number comes with the formula behind it. We don't just tell you to wait until 70 — we show you the break-even age, the spousal impact, and what happens if your assumptions are wrong.
Built by Finance, Not by Sales
This site was built by a former investment banker and private equity investor — not by an insurance company looking for leads. When we cover a financial product, we're analyzing it the same way we'd analyze it for an institutional client.
Your Situation, Not a Template
Married? Divorced after 10+ years? Working past 65? The right Social Security strategy depends on your specific circumstances. Our tools adjust for the details that actually matter.
Run the Numbers
Tools that show you the math, not just the answer.
Social Security Optimizer
See exactly how much you'd receive at 62, at your full retirement age, and at 70 — then compare lifetime totals based on how long you expect to live. Includes spousal benefit analysis and break-even calculations.
Medicare Deadline Tracker
Medicare enrollment has hard deadlines with real financial penalties. Enter your 65th birthday and we'll build your personal timeline with every window, every deadline, and what happens if you miss one.
Retirement Readiness Check
Answer 10 questions about your income, coverage, and plans. Get a personalized scorecard showing where you're prepared and where you might have gaps — with specific next steps for each.
Why I Built This
I kept seeing the same pattern: smart people making six-figure retirement decisions based on a 5-minute conversation with an insurance agent or a blog post written by a freelancer.
I spent years in investment banking and private equity, analyzing complex financial instruments for institutional clients. Break-even analysis, scenario modeling, sensitivity tables — the kind of rigor that gets applied to billion-dollar deals. But when my own family faced their Social Security decision, none of that analysis existed for them. They got a pamphlet and a phone number.
So I built the tools I wished they'd had. No insurance company behind this, no affiliate deals driving the recommendations, no content farm writing the guides. Just the math, explained clearly, so you can make your own decision with confidence.
